What happens on installation day?

A step-by-step guide to what happens when your artificial grass lawn is installed.

If you have never had artificial grass installed, it helps to know what to expect. Here is how a typical garden installation works, from the free consultation to the finished lawn.

Before the day

We start with a free consultation to measure up, talk through how you use the garden and recommend the right grass. You then receive a clear quote.

1. Clearing the area

The existing turf and soil are removed to the right depth, and the area is prepared around borders, paths and edges.

2. Building the base

A compacted base is laid and levelled. This is the most important stage, because it keeps the lawn even and draining properly for years to come.

3. Laying the grass

The grass is rolled out, joined and cut neatly to shape, following curves and edges for a clean finish.

4. Finishing

Edges are secured, the pile is brushed up and the area is cleaned so it is ready to use straight away.

How long does it take?

Many gardens are completed in a single day, while larger or more complex spaces can take a little longer. Customers often tell us how tidy the team leave everything at the end.

Every project starts with a free consultation.

Tell us about your space and we will take you through the options, then give you a clear, fixed quote.
